Eddie “Stepdog” Sterngold – In Memoriam

Our dear Eddie passed away October 2, 2017, after 16 years with our family. We miss him more than words can describe. I wrote a book about him, but he got the last word:

I got to sleep in the kiddies’ beds when we were growing up. I got to live half my life in sunny California and the other half in New Jersey, where I battled skunks and squirrels. I had the most handsome, loving master all to myself for four months before SHE arrived. I admit I tried to drive her nuts and get rid of her but she stuck to us like Krazy Glue.

In the end, we became buddies and she wrote a book that made me famous. Not bad for a rescue mutt from the San Fernando Valley who was expelled several times from day care for brawling and once almost ate a baby pug in a dog park. (I was playing!) I was just what you’d call “spirited.” And also loyal and grateful.

So long my dear family and fans. It’s been swell.
